Deleting your data
Hidang, by Argumant · last updated 13 September 2026
People do not sign themselves up to Hidang. A restaurant's account is set up by Argumant, and the owner adds their own staff. So how you have data removed depends on which of those you are.
If you work at a restaurant
- Ask the restaurant's owner or a manager. From the staff screen, in the app or the web till, they can remove your email address, change your name and switch your account off.
- Or write to support@hidang.world with your name and the restaurant's name. We will check with the restaurant and remove your details.
Your account is switched off rather than erased, because orders and payments you handled carry your name, and the restaurant needs those records to stay accurate. Your email address and any other contact details are removed.
If you own a restaurant
- If you want a copy of your sales records first, download them from Reports in the web till.
- Write to support@hidang.world from the email address you sign in with, giving your restaurant's username.
- We confirm the request with you, then close the account and delete the restaurant's data: staff, menu, photos, settings, devices, orders, payments and every other record.
What is kept, and for how long
- Encrypted backups made before the deletion are replaced by newer ones within seven days.
- We keep a record that the request was made and carried out.
- If the law requires us to keep something for longer, we tell you what and why when we reply.
